Fermentation on the skin (3 to 5 weeks) at 23°C, with soft extractions and a regular work of the lees. After a pneumatic pressure, blending of free run wine and press wine. Matured 18 months, a small percentage of the wine in oak barrel and the rest is matured in a tank. The wine is natural and unfiltered.

Tasting Notes

The finest vintage to date, the 2015 Gigondas Cotes Jugunda (80% Grenache and 20% Syrah aged in concrete and second fill barrels) offers medium to full-bodied richness, ripe tannin and terrific purity in its graphite, black cherry, garrigue and chocolaty aromas and flavors. It excels on its balance and length. Score – 90-92. (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, Dec. 30, 2016)
