Over the last decade, Château Ksara has seen the introduction of new grape varieties as well as developments in technique and the application of advanced science by French oenologists. Today, the wines of Château Ksara have a specific character, described as a “rare balance of dry fruitiness, of delicacy and coarseness, and of freshness and vigor.” These unique wines and traditional spirits represent a deliberately international vineyard that is nestled in one of the great and oldest wine-producing regions in the world.
“This wine with its dark ruby-red colour, joins finesse and elegance with the aroma of wood and vanilla, and supple, pure and round tannings give it length and persistence on the palate. It can be drunk when bought or kept for 3 to 5 years in a good cellar. Its structure allows it to accompany red meat and small game.
To be served at a temperature of 15 to 18°C depending on the season.”
Château Ksara is Lebanon’s oldest, largest, and most visited winery. It was here, in 1857, that Jesuit brothers laid the foundations for the country’s modern winemaking industry by producing Lebanon’s first non-sweet red wine.
